In the years which end in even numbers, there are always a bunch of people which you see quite a bit of, those who are running for some sort of political office. This summer it was those running for the Kansas House and Senate along with Congress and county offices. We met lots of people “on the trail” and talked issues from the state budget, education and the economy. Although we did not draw a competitor in the primary or general election, we continue to prepare for what will surely be a very interesting session come January in Topeka.
I hope many of you voted in the primary in August and many good people need your vote one more time on November 8th. I am appreciative every day for those precinct and township committeemen and committeewomen who had confidence in me in December to fill out this current term. Together we will continue to work for a better Kansas.
